Heat Season begins on Monday, June 3, 2024 for Los Angeles, as does our 2024 Heat Relief 4 LA Campaign. Our collective goals are to build awareness, reduce heat-related hospitalizations and deaths, and to let everyone know about the City resources available to help all Angelenos avoid heat injury through our Cool Spots LA App: Climate4LA.org/CoolSpotsLA.
Extreme heat is LA’s most lethal climate hazard. With the support of our Heat Relief 4 LA Network partners, including City Departments, community-based organizations, and Neighborhood Councils, we seek to promote heat safety for all Angelenos through our multilingual outreach materials and PSAs on City bus shelters and bus benches.
CEMO’s printed and digital heat safety outreach materials are available in 6 languages: English, Spanish, Korean, Armenian, Chinese, and Tagalog. We will continue to add additional languages throughout the Heat Season, which you can find on our website: Climate4LA.org/HeatReliefMaterials.
